If you wish to understand what leftist criminologists desire, look no further than Norway. A European court just ruled that keeping Anders Behring Breivik in "solitary" confinement, which included three adjoining rooms, cable TV, books, and an Xbox, was inhumane.
Do you recall Anders Behring Breivik? He detonated a car bomb and then went to an island in Norway were students were attending summer school. He systematically hunted down and executed children as they cried in terror and begged for mercy. Breivik murdered 77 people, mostly kids.
Let that sink in: 77 human lives were snuffed out in the most merciless and cruel way. Children..........executed by being shot in the face.
For this Breivik received a 21 year sentence. That is 4 months per life. FOUR MONTHS PER LIFE.
In the court ruling the judges stated that keeping Breivik comfortable during his period of incarceration was a human right that reflect decency and exemplified the best of our humanity.
Let me suggest that the lives of just one of Breivik's victims was worth more than his, that a 21 year sentence is a travesty of justice, and that the desire to treat Breivik like a victim shows moral indifference to life.
The mere fact that Breivik continues to breath air is contemptuous of human dignity but this is what leftist criminologists desire.......because, you know, the Europeans do it.
