Blank Slate Stupidity

I received a call today from a young lady whose job involves working with high risk kids.  She attended a national training event where the lead lecturer stated that all kids are born blank slates and that “there is no evidence that genes make a difference."

Strike 1.

In a separate conversation later in the day I was told
that students in a class have to debate whether biosocial criminology will reintroduce eugenics into modern society.......and that most students believe it will.

Strike 2.

Why not just say your either too damn stupid to understand modern science or too damn lazy to open a journal?  Or just tell people that you prefer to believe in unicorns and rainbows.......

The modern denial of science by people who claim the mantle of science is just.......well.....appalling.
