Laura Kipnis Title IX Inquisition

Professor Laura Kipnis is a bright person.  Articulate, provocative, intellectual, and a feminist.  She is, to be certain, an intellectual force to be reckoned with.

Unfortunately, she experienced not 1 but 2 Title IX complaints filed against her by aggrieved students.  Her story is too bizarre and too Orwellian to do justice to on a blog post.  You should listen to it yourself..........and then ask yourself what you would do if
  • in response to an academic piece you published, a student filled a Title IX complaint against you
  • a secret investigation was initiated
  • you were given no due process rights at trial
  • and while defending yourself from charges of witchcraft, another Title IX complaint was filled.....because you defended yourself

It is past time that universities abandon entirely Title IX hearings and fire everyone involved.  Oh, they may also want to issue an apology to those whose lives have been ruined and maybe pay out some $$ as a sign of good faith.
