Michael Bloomberg Get's Under the Skin of Social Justice Warriors

Michael Bloomberg and I agree on just about nothing.  I find him to be a mini-tyrant.  Remember, this is the guy who tried to ban the 7-11 Big Gulp when he was Mayor of New York city.  I also am completely opposed to his efforts to influence gun control and gun confiscation efforts.

However, when it comes to his views of what colleges and universities should prioritise, he and I are on the same page.  Remember, Bloomberg gave a commencement speech at Harvard where he called out the practice of banning conservative speakers and where he called for increased ideological diversity.

Well, he did it again.  This time he was at Michigan State University and, as before, he was giving a commencement speech.  Here is part of what he said:

“The fact that some university boards and administrations now bow to pressure groups, and shield students from these ideas through safe spaces, code words, and trigger warnings, is in my view a terrible mistake,” Bloomberg said, winning a big cheer from the crowd. “The whole purpose of college is to learn how to deal with difficult situations, not to run away from them.”

Yeah for him, right?  Standing up there with the very folks who made these ideas policy and criticising them takes some fortitude.

Of course this didn't make the SJW's happy.  In his next breadth he criticised micro-aggressions.  This was too much for the faint of heart.  Having been micro-aggressed the booing started.
